Domestic pigeons are well suited for airline travel. The temperature tolerance for a healthy domestic pigeon during travel can be as low as 0 F and as high as 95 F. In cold weather, although, I recommend that pigeons be kept sheltered from the wind, and during warm weather that they are sheltered from the sun. Pigeons should be shipped in a strong, crush proof, container that is well ventilated. For matters of definition, a domestic pigeon is a pigeon of the show, racing, utility, or meat variety.
